Rasmussen was officially appointed during the company Board meeting that took place on Thursday, October 11. Rasmussen has more than 25 years of business experience focusing on agricultural and financial management, both key areas of emphasis for Hastings Mutual.

Rasmussen currently holds the position of plant purchasing lead at Federal-Mogul Corporation based in Greenville, Mich. She also serves as the vice president of the Greenville Public School Board of Education and sits on the board for The Education Foundation of Greenville.
In addition to a Master of Management degree from Aquinas College, Rasmussen also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University and received a Certified Management Accountant certification.
