This coverage helps if there’s damage to property used by you or your employees that belongs to someone else. It has a limit of $2,500 per occurrence, with a $100 deductible.
Property damage caused by a subcontractor will be considered caused by an “occurrence” when coverage is provided. This applies in situations, like a court ruling, when faulty work by a subcontractor, that results in property damage, is not otherwise considered an “occurrence.”
We offer many other coverages to meet your contractual needs, including: Additional insured options; Waiver of subrogation; and Primary and non-contributory.
Coverage for your work vehicle or an entire fleet.
Additional coverage when you need to go above and beyond your regular policy.
What you need when something you didn't expect goes wrong.
Protect yourself and your staff if there's an injury or disability on the job.
Builders Risk and Installation Floater
“Floater” coverage is for anything that floats, or moves from place to place — like your supplies and machinery. It also covers damage to the structures you’re working on, including scaffolding, foundations, and more. We offer automatic coverage of $5,000 with additional limits available.
Business Income and Extra Expense Actual Loss Sustained — No Waiting Period
If you can’t operate your business because your property or equipment is damaged, we’ll help cover your costs, up to the actual amount of lost income.
Small Tools
Coverage on your tools has a limit of $1,000 per tool, with an automatic $2,500 for small tools. It also has a $500 deductible.
Signs Attached to Buildings
If your business has a sign outdoors that’s permanently attached to your building, we’ll cover up to $2,500 to repair or replace it if it suffers certain kinds of harm. It includes a $100 deductible.
The tools you use every day are just as important as the work site where you use them. This is for any tool you bring to the job — not just wrenches and knives, but power tools also.
There are two sizes of selected contractor businesses:
• Select Contractor I for a small company (five or fewer full-time employees).
• Select Contractor II for larger businesses, with 6 to 50 full-time employees.
So that’s (some of) what you’re looking for when shopping for insurance. You know you need coverage for your business — you probably don’t have $1.5 million in your wallet to pay out if a lawsuit doesn’t go your way — and you also want to make sure that, in an industry that relies so much on reliable equipment and employees, you’re able to keep them working.
