“Who you gonna call?” No, not the Ghostbusters; the real question is, who do you call when there’s a question about your insurance policy, or even when you want to purchase a policy in the first place?
If you need something simple done, you can head to our
homepage. You can Find an Agent or Report a Claim without even logging in. There are quick links to Make a Payment
and to download an Insurance Certificate right on the homepage too.
At Hastings Mutual, we’re proud of the relationships we have with our
local independent agent partners, and of the work they do to understand you
and your needs. We’re always encouraging our policyholders to first contact to their agent to ask a question or take care of something.
Many people like to do everything themselves — the internet makes that possible a lot of the time, and even the most helpful representative isn’t available every minute of every day. But sometimes that’s not the best solution.
You want to call your agent when there’s a question about how our coverage applies to your policy, or if we have a certain coverage you want. Your agent has the knowledge and experience to make the coverage you want possible, at least some of the
time, though of course every situation is unique.
Your agent will stay with you through the entire policy process, from giving you a quote for the cost of your coverage, to putting it in force, to making changes years from now.
If something unfortunate happens and you need to file a claim, you can reach out to your agent for assistance or contact us directly with that Report a Claim online form. When it comes time to pay the premium on your policy, you may be sending your payment either to your agent or to Hastings Mutual directly; it depends on how your account is set up. If you don’t like the way it’s working, we or your agent can help make improvements.
When it comes to your insurance policy and paying your bill, do you like doing it all yourself or would you rather have Hastings Mutual give you a hand? Let me know in the comments.
